El Estado de Minnesota

Hola amigos! He estado ocupado como siempre. Quiero contarles que recibi una invitacion para ir a Minnesota que son como 5 horas en avion. Pues ayer 18 de diciembre llegue aqui a Minnesota. Pues hoy es mi segundo dia y pues me ha encando estar aqui.

Me estoy quedando en la casa de la Familia Johanson en Cokato, MN. Pues voy a pasar la navidad con la familia Wirkkala. Aqui esta haciendo mucho frio...esta bajo 0 grados centigrados.

Tengo mucho que contarles todo lo que hice los meses pasados...esperen unos dias!

Por Fin- Finally

Lo siento amigos porque por casi un mes no pude escribir en mi blog. Desde cuando empeze mi nuevo ano de estudio he estado bien ocupado. He estado haciendo mucho proyectos como por ejemplo ahorita estoy haciendo un estudio en la Cuenca hidrologica donde yo vivo. Hace un mes empezo el otono, los arboles ya no tienen hojas. Ultimamente ha estado haciendo mucho frio, como 5 grados centigrados y para un zacapaneco eso si es frio.

La semana pasado fui al zoo porque tenia que estudiar los animales que hay en el zoologico en oregon. Por primera vi un oso polar y una foca. Le dio gracias a Dios por esta oportunidad, de conocer y aprender cosas que Guatemala nunca las hubiera aprendido. La semana que viene no habran clases porque es la semana de Accion de Gracias en Los Estados Unidos.

Algo que he estado haciendo es una pagina de internet sobre la belleza de Guatemala. Me gustaria que le echaran un vistazo para que me puedan decir que cosas podria cambiar o darme ideas para mejorarla. Todavia estoy haciendola, no he terminado. Dele Click Aqui.

I’m sorry my friends because almost a month that I couldn’t post on my blog. Since I started my second year of school I have been pretty busy. I’ve been doing a lot of projects such as right now I’m doing a study of Beaver Creek Watershed which is where I live. One month ago the fall started, the trees don’t have trees already. Lately it’s been cold, like 5 degrees centigrade which for a Zacapaneco is very cold.Last week I went to the Zoo because I had to study the mammals that inhabit in the Oregon Zoo. For the first time I saw a polar bear and a sea lion. I just thank God of such opportunity, to know and learn things that in Guatemala I would never learned. The upcoming week there will not be classes because is the Thanksgiving week in the United States.

Something that I’ve been working on is a website about the beauty of Guatemala. I would like you to take a look at it so that you can tell what things I could change or to give me some ideas to improve it. I’m still working on it; I haven’t finished it yet. Click Here.

Lo ultimo - The latest

Hola! Espero que se encuentren bien. Hace dos semana empeze mi nuevo ano. Ahorita ya empezo el otono, los colores de las hojas estan cambiando; es muy lindo ver que bonito ha hecho el Senor la tierra para nosotros. Estoy tomando 5 clases (16 creditos). Me gustan las clases, Dios me ha estado ayudando con los obstaculos que se me presentan.

Quiero confesar que ultimamente he tradado de entender que el tiempo de Dios no es lo mismo que nuestro tiempo. Nosotros hemos escuchado eso, pero es muy diferente entenderlo. El mes pasado fue uno de los mas dificiles para mi porque han pasado cosas que no me esperaba, y ahora yo me pregunto porque pasan.Es muy dificil no saber porque esas cosas pasan; pero CONFIO en Dios, solo tengo que seguir a adelante. Otra cosa tambien es que debemos esperar en el Senor, que bendiciones hay para lo que esperan en el Senor. Yo he aprendido que no puedo solo, la unica forma que puedo es con su ayuda.

Ayer hable con mi familia. Estoy alegre que mis hermanas estan bien, pero mi mama esta enferma, hace unos dias encontro que tiene problemas en los huesos y tambien problemas en su intestino pero todavia no sabemos que tiene todavia. Mi mama es un ejemplo para el mundo por muchas razones que talvez saben, ella lucho por mi futuro y sigue luchando por el de mis hermanas. Me gustaria contarles todos los sacrificios que ella ha hecho, pero no tengo mucho tiempo para escribir todo eso.

Amigos, por favor oren por mi familia especialmente y por mi. Todo estos meses que vienen estare muy ocupado, necesito sus oraciones.

Hi! I hope you are fine. Two weeks ago I started my new year of school. It already started the fall, the leaves’ colors are changing; it is very amazing what the Lord have done for us on the earth. I’m taking 5 classes (16 credits). I like the classes; God has helped me out with the obstacles ahead.

I want to confess that lately I have tried to understand that the Lord’s time is not the same than our time. We’ve heard that but, it’s difficult to really understand it. The last month was one of the most difficult months for me because there were things that happened which I wasn’t expecting and now I ask myself why those things happen. It is very difficult not knowing the reason why those things happen; but I trust on God, I just have to move on. Another thing we must wait on the Lord, what blessings there are for those who wait on the Lord. I have learned that I can’t by myself; the only way I can do it is with his help.

Ayer I talked to my family. I’m happy that my sisters are doing ok. But my mom is sick, few days ago she found out she has problems with her bones (lack of calcium) and as well problems with her intestines but we don’t know what kind of disease she has in her intestines yet. My mom is a big example for the World for many reasons that you might know. She worked for my future and keeps working for my sister’s future. I’d like to share with you all the sacrifices she has done for us, but I don’t have a lot of time to write all that.

Friends, please pray for my family specially and for me. All those months to come I will be busy, I need your prayers.

El Sur de Carolina - South Caroline

Tuve una semana de descanso y gracias a Dios tuve la oportunidad de ir al sur de Carolina. Estuve alli solo por un fin de semana. Por mucho tiempo tuve el deseo de ir alli. Me quede en la casa de Mark y Katie Nyblom. Ellos fueron muy amables en dandome donde quedarme; yo los conoci a ellos en Guatemala hace 3 anos, y fue un gusto a verlos visto a ellos. Como talvez ya sabes ellos adoptaron dos gemelos de Jutiapa, Guatemala.

Fue un gran placer ver a Arianna & Brayden. Ver que ahora ellos tienen un gran futuro por delante, esta familia ha cambiado el futuro de Arianna y Brayden. Hace dos viernes que aterrize y nos mas llegue vi a mi querido amigo Ryan Routsala. Ese mismo dia fuimos a Georgia porque el queria a visitar a unos ninos que fueron adoptados en Zacapa y ahora ellos viven en Georgia. Al siguiente dia fui a Pollo Campero y por fin fui a una tienda Guatemalteca. Tambien fui a visitar a unos amigos que han estado en Guatemala.

Y el ultimo dia fui a la iglesia La Vina por mi primera vez, fue un placer ver personas conocidas. Esta iglesia tiene gente de Mexico, por lo cual ellos tienen un traductor para ellos. Esta iglesia esta muy bendecida, tiene muchos talentos y que bueno que los estan usando para alabar al Senor y predicar su palabra. Ellos estan alimentando gente en el Quiche, ellos son una bendicion para Guatemala.

Me senti triste haber estado por un corto tiempo alli; pero muy agradecido por la oportunidad. Gracias por sus oraciones durante el tiempo que estuve viajando.

d the opportunity to go to South Caroline. I was there just for a weekend. Since two years ago I was wishing to go there. I stayed at Mark & Katie’s house. They were very kind to me in giving a place where to stay; I met

them in Guatemala three years ago and it was great to see them there. As you might know they adopted two twins from Jutiapa, Guatemala.

It was awesome to see Arianna & Brayden. Now they have a future, this family has changed the future of Arianna and Brayden. Two Fridays ago I arrived in SC and right away I saw my friend Ryan. This day we wento to Georgia because he wanted to visi

t some kids who were adopted in Zacapa and now they live in Georgia. The follow day I went to Pollo Campero and finally I went to a Guatemalan store. I also went to visit some friends that have been in Guatemala.

The last that I was there I went to The Church “The Vine” for my first time, it was pleasure to see known people. This

church has people from Mexico, therefore they have translator for them. This church is very blessed, it has a lot of talents and it is good they are using

those talents to worship the Lord and preach HIS WORD. They are feeding people in Quiche; they are a blessing to Guatemala.

I felt so sad that I was there for short time; however I’m very thankful for the opportunity. Thank you for your prayers while I was traveling.

Acampando en Crater Lake – Camping in Crater Lake

Hola me queridos amigos! Bueno decidi hoy escribir sobre el viaje que hize con mi programa en el estado de Oregon. El sabado 22 de agosto, viajamos Sur Este atras de las Montanas Cascades. Como les he estado contando, Oregon tiene mucha naturaleza y diversidad de ambientes. Oregon es conocido por los grandes bosques pero tambien por los desiertos que


posee con rios y lagos con una agua tan fria que ni se puede nadar. Conforme el viaje pasamos por Bend, Madras y por fin llegamos a Crater Lake que fue donde acampamos por dos noches, es un lugar muy hermoso; el agua es muy azul y tiene una historia muy interesante. Como ustedes saben yo fui con mi programa, hubieron mas de 20 personas acampando con nosotros. Durante el tiempo que estuvimos alli hicimos fogatas, cantamos, contamos historias, cuentos etc.


Despues de haber acampado dos dias en Crater Lake nos dirimos Norte parapar acam cerca del Rio Makensi, viajamos 3 horas norte. Fuimos a visitar muchos lugares turisticos de Oregon; Adjunte algunas fotos para que puedan verla, cada vez que visito lugares turisticos le doy gracias al Senor por su gran creacion en el mundo para nosotros. Durante el tiempo que estuvimos acampando cerca de Rio makensi pasaron muchas cosas lindas que nunca voy a olvidar.
Fue una gran experiencia con mi programa, muchos momentos innolvidables. Fue una gran bendicion haber estado en esos lugares tan lindos.


Gracias por estar leyendo mi blog, ultimamente no escrito mucho, pero tratare de mantenerlos al tanto. Por favor ora por mi, he pasado por momentos muy duros, pero Jesus nunca me ha dejado apesar que no soy obediente al Senor. Pero he aprendido que Dios nos ama apesar de lo que hayamos hecho. Dios odia el pecado pero ama al Pecador.

Hi my dear friends!! I decided to write about the trip that I did with my program around Oregon. Saturday 22th of August we traveled South East along the Cascades Mountains. As I have been telling you, Oregon has a lot of Nature and diversity of environments. It’s known for its big forests but also for its deserts with rivers and lakes with cold water that you can’t even swim. As we were traveling we passed Bend, Madras and finally we arrived to Crater Lake which was where we camped for two nights, it’s a amazing place; its water is very blue and it has a interesting history. As you know I went with my program, there were more than 20 fellows camping. During the time we were there we had bonfires, we sang, we shared short histories, tales and so on.

After camping two days at Crater Lake we headed out to North to camp near by the Makensi River, we drove for three hours north. We visited several tourists’ places in Oregon; I attached few pics so that you can look at them, every single time I visit places like that, I give thanks to the LORD for his amazing and outstanding creations in the earth for us. While were camping near by the Makensi River happened many beautiful things that I won’t forget.

It was a great experience with my program, so many unforgettable moments. It was a blessing to have been in those beautiful places.

Thank for reading my blog, lately I haven’t written a lot, but I’m going to try to keep you aware of. Please pray for me, I’ve had so many hard times but Jesus has never leave me although I’m not obedient to the Lord. However, I have learned that God love us regardless we have done. The lord hates the sin but he loves the sinner.

Hace un Ano - One year ago

Hola amigos! Lo siento que no he podido escribir ultimamente. El dia de hoy es muy importante para mi porque hoy hace un ano que me vine a Oregon. Tengo tantos recuerdos cuando estuve volando en el avion por mi primera vez, todo fue nuevo. Hoy me puse nostalgico porque extrano mi pais, mi familia, amigos, comida y mi linda cultura.

El dia de hoy hable con mi familia y estuvimos hablando del dia que deje zacapa, que fue el dia martes 19 del ano pasado. Ha sido una gran bendicion estar aqui, Dios me ha trajo aqui con un proposito que no se todavia, pero yo se que pronto sabre.

Ahora siento que tiempo vuela, pero cuando yo acaba de llegar sentia que el tiempo no pasaba. Que cosas que ahora me pongo a pensar tantas cosas que he hecho y disfrutado desde cuando vine. Algo en mi que no ha cambio es mi corazon,es mas que cuando deje a Guatemala supe que iva ser dificil. Todo lo que pense cuando estaba en zacapa se ha echo realidad, mi deseos visitando a mis amigos and so on.

Hi my friends! I’m sorry that I haven’t written lately. Today is very important for me because today is one year ago I arrived in Oregon. I have so many memories when I was flying in an airplane for my first time, everything was new. Today I got homesick because I miss my country, my family, friends, food and my beautiful culture.

Today I talked to my family y we were talking about the day I left Zacapa, it was a Tuesday 19 last year. It’s been a big blessing to be here, the Lord has brought me here with a purpose that I don’t know yet, but I know that soon I will know.

Now I feel the time flies by, but when I just arrived here I used to feel the time longer than before. WoW now I look back and think so many things that I have done here and enjoy since I came here. Something that hasn’t changed is my heart, furthermore when I left Guatemala I knew it will be difficult. Everything what I thought when I was in Zacapa has became reality, my wishes visiting with my friends and so on.
