My last classes - Mi ultimas Clases

Hola! I think some of you might know that i am taking my last classes at Mt. Hood Community College which means i am finishing with my schooling here in USA. Right now I am taking Biology II, GIS (Geography Information System), Eco-tourism and Field Projects. I am also going to start with my Internship next Monday, I will be posting about what i will be doing every Monday during my internship. I got an opportunity to do my internship with the Forest Service at Mt. Hood National Forest. I will be doing my internship every Monday, so I will taking a Bus to Sandy. I think the bus takes about 40 minutes to get there.

As usual, i will be swamped all these coming weeks. Today i will have my first class of GIS, so i am excited to start that class. As far as the weather goes, it has been raining the last days and cold. Today so far has been overcast, i am looking forward to having sunny days.

Hola! Pienso que algunos de ustedes talvez saben que estoy tomando mis ultimas clases en Mt. Hood Community College, lo cual significa estoy terminando con mis estudios aquí en EEUU. Ahora mismo estoy tomando Biología II, SIG (Sistema de Información Geográfica), Eco-turismo y proyectos de campo. También voy a comenzar con mi práctica el próximo lunes, voy a publicar acerca de lo que voy a estar haciendo todos los lunes durante mis practicas. Obtuve una oportunidad de hacer mis practicas en el Servicio Forestal en el Mt Hood National Forest. Voy a estar haciendo mi práctica todos los lunes, así que voy a tomar un autobús a Sandy. Creo que el autobús tarda unos 40 minutos para llegar allí.

Como de costumbre, voy a estar bien ocupado todas estas próximas semanas. Hoy voy a tener mi primera clase de los SIG, así que estoy con ganas de empezar esa clase. En cuanto al clima, ha estado lloviendo los últimos días y habido frío. Hoy ha estado un poco nublado, estoy con ansias de tener días asoleados.

Primavera -Spring

Hola! Pienso que deveriamos de estar agradecidos de vivir en esta tierra porque Dios ha creado una belleza de paisajes, plantas y animales. Pienso que eso fue lo que me motivo estudiar plantas porque es algo que cada vez me admiro de las creaciones de nuestro padre celestial. Hoy termine con mis examanes finales, lo cual significa ya termine con el trimestre de invierno.

Me encanta cuando hace sol aqui, porque todo cambia, por ejemplo las plantas se miran vivas, alegres y nosotros nos ponemos de buen humor. En Guatemala he visto lindos paisajes pero aqui en Oregon tambien he visto lindos paisajes.

Hello! I believe we should be grateful to live on this earth because God has created a beauty of landscapes, plants and animals. I think that's what motivated me to study plants because it is something that every time admire the creations of our heavenly father. Today I finished with finals which means I am done with the winter term.

I love it when it's sunny here, because everything changes, for example plants look alive, happy and put us in a good mood. In Guatemala I have seen beautiful landscapes but also here in Oregon I've seen beautiful landscapes.

Hi! I just want to share something today last Sunday i went to church and then we went to the only Guatemalan restaurant in Oregon. It was the first time for most of my friends to eat Guatemalan food.I enjoyed being with good friends.

My friend Lucrecia from Mexico went with me to the restaurant. We had a blast there.

Lately - Ultimamente

Hi my brothers in Christ. I’ve been praying for all of you so that everything goes well. Lately I have been so busy because I just have less than 4 months that I will be in Oregon studying. Right now I am doing two projects in my classes and I am getting ready with my Resume. Also I am getting ready with stuff of my program.

Last Sunday I could not go to church, which made me sad because I do not like to stay in my apartment the whole weekend doing homework. It is difficult for me to go to church because is also far away like almost an hour.

Pretty soon I will finish this term of classes and I am going to start with spring term. I am going to be taking 5 classes the next term. My favorite classes will be Biology, Eco-tourism and Digital Photography.

Right now I would like to be taking a nap on hammock and also eating tropical fruits. Well…I have to go to the college.

Hola mi queridos hermanos en Cristo. He estado orando por todos ustedes para que todo les vaya bien. Ultimamente he estado ocupadisimo porque ya solo tengo menos de 4 meses que estare en Oregon estudiando. Ahorita estoy haciendo dos pojectos en mis clases y estoy tambien alistandome con mi curriculum. Tambien me estoy alistando con papeleria de mi programa.

El domingo pasado no pude ir a la iglesia, lo cual me pone triste porque no me gusta pasar el fin de semana en mi apartamento haciendo tarea. Es dificil para mi ir a la iglesia porque tambien es muy lejos como casi una hora. Les cuento que ahorita ando buscando un lugar donde hacer mis practicas y pues ya vere donde las hago.

Ya mero voy a terminar este termino de clases y voy a empezar con el termino de primavera. Voy a estar tomando 5 clases el siguiente termino. Mis favoritas clases van a ser Biologia, Ecoturismo y Fotografia Digital.

Ahorita me gustaria estar tomando una siesta en una hamaca y tambien estar comiendo frutas tropicales. Bueno...ya me tengo que ir al colegio.

Ayudar a Haiti - Help Haiti

Hola a todos! La semana pasada fue largisima. Como todos sabemos, hubo un terremoto en Haiti y pues fue algo que no nos esperabamos. En mi programa han habido estudiantes de Haiti (Haitianos), ahorita yo tengo tres companeros de alli.

Hace unas semana decidimos hacer una noche cultural para recaudar fondos, no tuvimos suficiente tiempo, sin embargo el martes pasado 9 de febrero realizamos la noche cultura y lo mejor de todo es que recaudamos mucho en dos horas. Cada pais presento una danza cultural para el publico, hubieron 11 danzas.

Yo se que a veces no podemos ayudar con dinero, pero siempre hay algo que podemos hacer por nuestro projimo, ayudar no solo es con dinero, dando amor es la mejor manera de ayudar. Compartamos el amor que se nos ha sido dado por nuestro padre celestial.

Hi everyone! Last week was long. As all of us know, there was an earthquake in Haiti and it was something that we were not expecting. In my program there have been students from Haiti (Haitians), currently I have three classmates from there.

Few weeks ago we decided to do a culture night in order to do a fundraiser, we did not have enough time, nevertheless last Tuesday 9th of February we carried out the culture night and the best from all of it is that we raised some money in two hours. Every country performed a cultural dance for the audience, there were 11 dances performed.

I know some times we can not help with money, but always there is something that we can do for our fellow; help is not only with money, giving love is the best way to help. Let’s share the love that has been given from our father in the heaven.

Ocupado - Busy

Hola mis queridos amigos (a). Espero que se encuentren bien. Los ultimo dos meses he estado tan ocupado que solo duermo 6 horas dias y a veces 5 horas. El martes pasado hicimos un noche cultural para recaudar fondos para Haiti.

Ahorita estoy tomando 5 clases las cuales son Silvicultura, Conservacion de Vida Silvestre, Current Issue, Escritura 102 y Ecologia Tropical. Creo que mis clases favoritas son Ecologia Tropical y Silvicultura.

Es posible que este fin de semana pueda escribir un poco sobre lo que hecho ultumamente. Dios me los Bendiga.

Hi! my dear friends! I hope you are doing well. The last two months, i have been so busy that i just sleep 6 hours and sometimes 5 hours. Last tuesday we did a culture night for a fundraiser for Haiti.

Right now I'm taking 5 classes which are Silviculture, Wild Life Conservation, Current Issue, Writing 102 and Tropical Ecology. I believe my favorite are Tropical Ecology and Silviculture.
